History
In 1983, after 12 years of farming near Winkler, MB Canada and another 10 years working as a welder on distant pipelines, Bob Toews was ready to try something that would allow him to stay at home in Winkler and provide him and his family with a stable income.
He opened up a 2,000-square-foot welding shop in the southern Manitoba town, which 25 years later has grown to be Convey-All Industries Inc., one of North America's leading customer manufacturers of conveyor systems for a wide range of industrial uses.
Working under the corporate name, Commercial Welding, Toews and a partner started out doing custom work for some Winkler-based manufacturers . In 1985, another small Winkler-based manufacturer, whose business was making conveyors, approached Toews about taking over the business, which he did. In 1987, Convey-All was expanding their conveyor lines across Western Canada and Toews moved his growing company to its current location in Winkler.
In 1994, Convey-All was asked to build a line of Drill Fill tanks for a company called Stor King. At the time, Stor King had recently been purchased by Meridian Industries, but after a couple of years, Meridian sold Stor King to Convey-All. This transaction propelled Convey-All to a new direction making Drill Fills. They pioneered the process of putting the conveyor belting system right into the Drill Fills, which today is a major line and is now called Seed Tenders.
Convey-All learnt early on that conveyors can move just about anything, and that its just a matter of revamping the conveyor to fit the product.
